The history of this Tabriz carpet needs some extra explanation. It was once made on the order of the provincial keeper of East Azerbaijan. Tabriz is the capital of this province. The carpet is 75 years old and has been located in the guest room. In Iran it is a tradition to receive special guests in a separate nicely decorated room, which was used only for this purpose. The rest of the time, this room was locked.

The carpet was designed by a well-known designer at the time: Nagash Namie. It was woven by Ahamdie Zade. The carpet shows a piece of Persia's history.
